AT LITTLE GOSPEL LIGHTS, WE HAVE SPECIAL EVENTS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR!

Visits by Firefighters help the children learn to stop, drop & roll. 

Police Officers visit our school and teach our children about special helpers in our community.

Parents are invited to join us for Thanksgiving Feasts where the children share the blessings they are thankful for!

At Christmastime 3-and 4-year-old classes are visited by a very special guest…

Each year in February we celebrate the “great guys” in our lives. Each child chooses to invite dad, an uncle, grandfather, or brother to enjoy an evening that includes a train show, craft, pizza and dessert.  It’s always “standing room only” at this crowd-pleasing special event!

Volunteers from our community are always a special treat, especially when they read to our Little Lights.  Pictured below is community reader Renshi John Busto, from Busto’s Karate & Fitness of Plainview. Along with the story, the children enjoyed a balancing game & received star reader stickers!

The pediatric dental office of Dr. MaryEllen Nesnay sends hygienists who give the children lessons in proper brushing techniques.  Each child takes a turn learning to brush on the giant false teeth.  They also receive a goodie bag courtesy of the dental office.

At Easter, as we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, we participate in a

“Hop-A-Thon” to help raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Foundation. 

The children watch a short video on disability awareness and are always eager to help the children they learn about.

Following our hop-a-thon, the children enjoy an Easter Egg Hunt. 

We participate in the Bethpage Memorial Day Parade, honoring our veterans and towing our spectacular Noah’s Ark Float!

Upon completion, families are invited to attend a special Graduation Ceremony for our 4-year-olds.
